At Blue Knight Construction, we do not follow basic industry standards, we exceed them by far. If Orange County homeowners only knew what goes on behind the scenes in the residential construction industry, they would be disheartened to put it mildly.
I am constantly amazed at what kind of individuals in this field actually get away with calling themselves "Experts", this includes contractors and their employees alike... That said, competent "Experts" do exist and they would also share my opinion.
My wife Debbie and I started our construction business in 1980, the same year that we were married. That's over four decades of quality jobs and satisfied customers.
While being involved in beautiful Orange County communities, we have raised two wonderful children, now raising families of their own near by. Our family continues to grow here in Orange County with 7 Grandchildren and counting.
As in a family, the construction business has many challenges. My greatest challenge by far, has always been trying to find skilled carpenters and construction tradesmen. That is why we've remained a small business with only a handful of highly skilled Master Carpenters who meet our standards. A small company like ours does have its advantages. It makes it easier for the contractor to stay involved in the field, and be aware of what's going on. That is what I do. I love to get outdoors and work with these guys!
It's a mistake to assume that all contractors follow techniques. The reality is that the contractors and workers are pretty much on their own, and faced with a lot of variables that few pay attention to. At Blue Knight Construction, you get true quality craftsmen (as defined by us), and without the baggage of poor industry techniques.
